Regards from Lahiton's graphic editor and its photographer [ 03/07/2012 ]

Lahiton's graphic editor, Ami Koenig, made a special supplement about Ofra in 1983. He and the photographer Israel Malovani accompanied Ofra for 2 days for preparing the supplement.

Ami wrote us about Ofra: "We spent 2 days with her, in Bezalel's home, in the Machne Yehuda market, she took to a restaurant in Or Yehuda, I believe. Ofra was a charming girl, modest and kind, with no mannerisms of a star. She came from the people and the people loved her. When I heard about her illness, it was near the end, and I was totally shocked. Her death reminded me that we are all human, and totally equal. The music Ofra left behind will always remain an Israeli classic".

Israel Malovani, who took the photos for the supplement, wrote us: "I can only add the word 'diamond' to Ofra. I photographed hundreds of celebs, and Ofra was a symbol with her modesty, and I always tell everyone about her warm behavior towards me and towards other photographers. Especially in the 2 days we accompained her, she invited us to her parents' house and her own house in Yehud. Ofra was one of a kind, and it's very sad she died so early".
